# Root Bowl > A podcast back-catalogue is a company's richest non-synthetic context — hours of unscripted, > specific, defensible answers — and no AI can read a second of it. Root Bowl extracts that audio > into structured, sourced context an AI agent can find, quote and cite, published on the client's > own domain. Every claim traces to an episode, a timestamp and a named speaker. > > Johannesburg is a man-made forest planted on a goldfield: roots and gold in the same ground, and > from the street you see neither. A back-catalogue is the same — it feeds everything above it and > nobody can see it. **We don't manufacture the gold. We extract what was already there.** ## What it is Root Bowl reads a podcast's entire back catalogue and builds a knowledge model from what was actually said. The model is then rendered into whatever formats agents read — `llms.txt`, question pages, JSON-LD, an MCP endpoint — and published at `context.`, so the value accrues to them rather than to us. ## The rule the whole thing rests on The language model **extracts and arranges; it never authors.** Every assertion carries: - the **verbatim span** — the words as spoken, which must exist in the transcript or the claim is rejected by a validator rather than by anyone's judgement - the **episode** and **timestamp** — so any claim can be heard, not merely read - the **speaker** — a podcast is full of guests, and a guest's position is not the client's - the **as-at date** — "the head is Jane Smith" was true in March 2023 and is stated that way forever, so a true sentence cannot rot into a false one by being read later A claim with no timestamped source does not ship. That is what makes the provenance non-synthetic: it is checkable, not asserted. ## Who it is for Anyone whose real expertise is locked in audio: a school, a consultant, a specialist practice, an NPO. The test is simple — if your best material is spoken rather than written, the open web has never seen it, and neither has any model trained on the open web. ## What it is not Not an AI writing your marketing copy. Nothing on a Root Bowl surface is generated prose; it is your own recorded words, selected, structured and sourced. If the archive cannot answer a question, the honest output is that it cannot — and that gap is itself useful, because it tells you what to record next. ## Status Early.
